October 7, 20081.16 App/Source Out - Longer Wus, Credit Readjustment Soon Version 1.16 apps and source are out (Thanks to Jedirock for help on the OSX versions!!), along with much bigger WUs (it had to happen sometime :) ). I'm sure the credits will still be too low or too
high, so expect a slight change in them as well in the coming days. I'll try out the new validator tomorrow, so If you don't have 1.14 or later, please update asap as wus from
earlier versions will not validate. Thanks guys!
October 5, 2008Source code out! Source code for the app is now on the main page. If anyone is interested in publicly distributing their optimized version, please let me know and I'll
whip up a page to put them on. I'm still working on my version, so hold tight! Thanks!
September 30, 2008Linux 64 done, Source this weekend Got the Linux 64-bit version out and it seems to be working fine. I'm going to need a bit before I can release the client source. Right now
the amount of work done is specified in the source - which needs to change before I hand it out. Not that I don't trust you guys :). So I'll probably get to that this weekend.
September 29, 2008DB good to go, 64 linux on the way. The MySQL server is now running on my Vista Quad AMD 2.8GHZ with 8GB of RAM so it should be running smoothly now. Working on 64-bit linux app and
the subversion server. Thanks guys!
Ramsey@Home is a distributed computing project designed to
find new lower bounds for various Ramsey Numbers using a host of
different techniques. It was inspired by the research of Dr.
David Furcy, Dr. Thomas Naps, Dr. Linda Eroh, and Nick Peterson
during the 2008 spring and summer semester at the University of
Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
If you're interested in the mathematics this project deals with,
you can read about Ramsey Numbers
here. Also, the proposal for our research can be viewed
